Mallorca is a beautiful destination, and my family's trip gave us plenty of wonderful memories. But some of the most useful things I learned had little to do with where to go or what to see and everything to do with being prepared.
Some of these lessons came from experiences I never expected to have including a medical emergency on our last night in Mallorca. Others came from smaller surprises like navigating narrow and windy roads, maneuvering a wheelchair on bumpy roads and discovering that having Wi-Fi available doesn't necessarily mean you'll be able to connect to it.
These are the things I wish someone had told me before I went. Now I'm passing them along to you.
